Camp Easton
Day 1 - Saturday July 29th
Departed St. John's at 8:20 AM (Troop record, only off by 20 minutes). This is credited to al the hard work the scouts did during the Saturday meeting.
Stopped for lunch at the junction of highway 26 and US 395 north-east of Kennewick.
Arrived at St. Georges in Post Falls, Idaho at 3:30 PM.
Many of the group played ultimate Frisbee across from the church on the baseball field. No major injuries sustained.
Lodging at St. George's was in the church hall located under the church.
Comments from the Scouts:
Eric says: "Hey I didn't know my ankle could bend that way"
Jacob says: "We drove to the church, then we drove to the gas station, then we drove and drove and drove to the first rest stop, and then we drove and drove and drove to
the second rest stop, and then we drove and drove and drove over the Washington border into Idaho, and then drove to St George's Church"
Another Eric says: "After approximately 6 hours of driving through the gorge, we arrived at St. George Catholic Church. Being as we arrived mucho earlier than was expected, we played multiple games of Ultimate Frisbee followed by other social activities. Some attended the mass in the evening while other prepared dinner".
"One of the Mike's says: That was some awesome Ultimate Frisbee".
